A-to-Z 2016 Theme Reveal

This will be my fifth year participating in the A-to-Z Challenge, although second here at Sigild.

Last year I did what I called A-to-Z Lies.  This entailed me pulling random words from a dictionary and giving them nonsensical new definitions, mostly by taking them far more literally than originally intended.  (Thank goodness for the English language!)

This year my theme is A-to-Z Lies in Space, but otherwise has nothing to do with last year's efforts.  (I originally intended to include my dear friend Captain Julio.  But he's been coopted by a different story entirely.)

So this time, the lies will have to do with a sci-fi story (somewhat...obviously) I've cobbled together from two previously unrelated things I'd previously written but are otherwise not already extant here at Sigild (so don't go looking).  They will not be lies, per say, but separately, they will be incomplete pieces of a greater puzzle, a kind of Rashomon in which different perspectives come together.

And, conveniently enough, as of 3/18, the whole thing is already written.

  1. All I can say is in the pursuit of logic we must consider sentences with meaning. A sentence with meaning is whats known as a proposition. A proposition is either true or false, either of which can be equally convincing but it has to be realised its the truth value which matters. The only question which remains to be answered is, why is logic the beginning of wisdom and not the end? I look forward to your A to Z Challenge.

  4. Hi, This sounds creative, complicated and vastly entertaining. Brilliant job on getting all the posts organised - what, even X and Q?! You're going to sail right through the challenge! Have an awesome A-Z month.

    1. I made it extremely easy to get all the letters in. Every day features a character whose name begins with that day's letter. Q and X are actually two of the more crucial characters! Good luck!

  6. Well, I'm not entirely sure what you're doing, but if it's scifi, I'm in! Good luck!
